Group Support

Many NBIS programs are in a group setting with peer a support component.  

Life After ABI: Peer Support Program

This 8-week in person program will provide participants with the opportunity to learn the tools to help with the ongoing challenge of rebuilding their lives post Acquired Brain Injury. The program material will be delivered in a group setting and participants will have the chance to share their experiences and acquire new skills.  

Next session: Spring 2024

The program is by referral only so an appointment must be made with client services. The program is offered both in person and virtually.

Virtual Client
Drop-In

This program is an informal client drop in group for peer based conversation with one of our welcoming peer volunteers put on once a week over ZOOM.  If you are interested in attending the Virtual Client Coffee Drop-in and have not been to NBIS in the last 2 years, please make an appointment with client services.

Currently running Tuesdays from 10:00am- 11:15am

Caregiver Support Group Program

This program, conducted in 75 minute sessions will address the needs of caregivers by bringing them together in a relaxed setting to discuss common issues, share ideas, and find possible solutions to reduce the stress of caregiving. It is designed to be flexible, allowing you to participate as you see fit.
