For those with an interest in governance and community development, sitting on our Board of Directors can be a very rewarding experience. The Board of Directors is made up of a committed group of volunteers from the community who share the mission and vision of NBIS and are responsible for its well-being. This inculdes the areas of strategic planning, human resources planning, financial health, and community relations. As a board member, you’ll have the opportunity to develop and broaden your leadership skills, gain experience working in the non-profit sector, and give back to the community in which you live and work. Members of the Board come from many different backgrounds, this may include retired community members, brain injury survivors, professors/educators, and finance/legal/health care professionals.
