Craig
Director
In his life, Craig has experienced two traumatic brain injuries (TBI). Five years after his first brain injury, he sustained a second injury. He was not officially diagnosed with a TBI until 7 years later. Because of this experience, Craig understands the importance of helping people to adjust to living with a brain injury. He was involved with the Centennial Centre for Mental Health & Brain Injury in Ponoka, AB and after that he started volunteering with the Central Alberta Brain Injury Society in Red Deer. After moving to Vancouver Island, Craig started volunteering at the Nanaimo Brain Injury Society (NBIS) and Bill’s Place, which was supported housing support for people with TBI. After a short break, he is now happy to be back at NBIS as a Board member and peer supporter volunteer.
