Family Fun Day

Family Fun Day is a new Nanaimo event designed to provide a full day of family entertainment, activities and fun! And it’s all FREE!

To celebrate the last weekend of summer, Nanaimo will launch its first FAMILY FUN DAY on
Sunday, September 1 at MaLeo-Sutton Park with non-stop live entertainment plus a
multitude of bouncy castles and other attractions and games. I addition, there will be
sports demos, community kiosks, an artisan’s market and food trucks.

The event gets underway at 11 am with magician Craig McKee handling MC duties on stage
for the day. He’ll be joined by special guests throughout the day with entertainment
including family favorites Bobs & Lolo, The Kerplunks, Fiddelium, String Fever, and The Big
Mess.

All activities and attractions are free with a donation to Nanaimo’s Rotary North Club who
will also be on-site with a traditional Corn Roast. Proceeds will support Rotary’s food
security initiatives in Nanaimo. Non-stop entertainment starts at 11 am and runs to 5 pm.
