  • About Us

For over 35 years, the Nanaimo Brain Injury Society has worked with people on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded lands of the Snuneymuxw, Snaw-naw-as, and Stz’uminus First Nations. We are grateful and acknowledge the strength, knowledge, and leadership of Indigenous communities. We recognize that health and community services have not always respected the rights or self-determination of Indigenous Peoples, and that these impacts are still felt today. NBIS remains committed to listening, learning, and doing better.
