Anna Balaski

Anna is in her fourth year of the Bachelor of Social Work program at Vancouver Island University, building on her Social Services Diploma from VIU. Her background includes working in memory care and supporting neurodivergent children, experiences that have shaped her empathetic, client centered approach. As the intake worker on the Navigator Team, Anna is often the first point of contact for individuals connecting with NBIS. She strives to create a welcoming, supportive space, working collaboratively with each person to explore their goals and develop a plan that feels realistic, empowering, and tailored to their needs. Outside of her work, Anna enjoys crocheting, sewing, reading, and spending time on local hiking trails.
