Ryan Watson

My name is Ryan and while I have lived in Nanaimo for almost 10 years, I grew up in various locations across Saskatchewan and Alberta. I recently graduated with a Kinesiology degree from Vancouver Island University and live an active lifestyle through a variety of hobbies including disc golf, snowboarding, backcountry hiking, resistance training, mountain biking, trail running, photography and generally being active in the outdoors. My passion for health extends beyond academics and athletics into environmental standards, mental wellness, reformation of food systems, and the strength of community connections. I've always been community minded and love to learn about what's going on around me, grow my network and help build opportunities for myself and others, so don't be a stranger if you see me out!
